Diogo Corona, CEO of TotalPass

Diogo Corona, CEO and founder of TotalPass, also known as one of the five hottest entrepreneurs in Europe, has a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a master’s degree in E-business from ISCTE and is a certified PMP and an IBM Certified Expert for IBM Connections.

Early Life and Education

Diogo Corona was born in Funchal, Madeira. After finishing high school, he studied business administration at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He completed his master’s degree in E-business at ISCTE Business School and became a certified PMP before joining IBM as a Certified Expert for IBM Connections. He also holds an MBA from ISCTE Business School and is an associate member of the Accenture Institute for High-Performance Leadership (A2HP).

Diogo started TotalPass in 2008 and continued to run the company until his resignation in 2014. During this time, he was the head of finance for several large companies such as Sisense, Allianz Portugal, and Smart response. He also worked as a general manager in a thriving IT consultancy called Smartthings. From 2013 to 2014, Diogo was a speaker and board member at the Accenture Institute for High-Performance Leadership (A2HP). He held several events around Portugal and Europe, including Lisbon, Porto, and Paris, where he was a speaker at the CIO Summit.

Philanthropy

For his philanthropic work, Diogo Corona was ranked as one of the top entrepreneurs in Portugal under the age of 30. While CEO and founder of Total Pass, he launched a philanthropic initiative that would allow students in Portugal to learn how to code without paying any tuition fees. This was done by partnering with schools, companies, and public institutions that could provide scholarships to impoverished children. Corona has also participated in several conferences and seminars to provide training and education for people seeking new opportunities in technology, business, and general management.
