Agrawal’s love of the environment began at an early age when she learned about the importance of recycling and reducing her carbon footprint. She also became familiar with some of the negative environmental impacts of consumerism at a young age. In college, she studied environmental studies and policy, which gave her the expertise to start her own business.

After moving to the United States and Becoming a Doctor, Miki started pursuing a Passion for Environmentalism.

Agrawal is the founder of Doctors for the Environment (DTE), an organization that works to prevent environmental degradation.

After completing her medical training, Agrawal founded DTE in 2010. The organization works to protect endangered ecosystems and clean up polluted sites. Agrawal believes that doctors have a responsibility to work towards solving environmental problems.

Agrawal has made significant progress in her efforts to protect the environment.

In 2013, she won a prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize for her work with DTE. She is also a featured speaker at environmentally-themed events around the world. Agrawal is dedicated to using her platform as a doctor to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage others.

Agrawal started her work in waste reduction after seeing an alarming increase in litter in her hometown of San Francisco. “I just couldn’t believe that so much garbage was being generated,” she says. “And I wanted to do something about it.”
